Been Rather Busy

I’m still around but as I’ve been really quiet I thought I’d add a quick post just to let people know why.

My other half has had a rather nasty bout of Celulitus (spelling???) in her leg which has meant she’s been out of action so I’ve been doing a lot more then I usually do.

On top of this our little lad, Hayden, got pushed off the top of a slide and has broken his elbow. Poor little man. So he was in hospital for a few nights while they sorted him out.

Plus, the sister in law has had her fifth baby. They dont drive so I’ve been running them around and stuff. Its been crazy.

Anyway, I’ve had very little free time to get on and blog (RetroVGM, Windows Phone or Ben The Beagle). Things have settled down a little now so I’ll hopefully be able to get some stuff up this week.

Originally this was going to be my blog and I was going to blog about all kinds of stuff but after my first post I decided to focus on one subject, the subject that I enjoyed the most – Video Game Music. Now if your reading this I’m sure you wondering where the funtastic musical waffle is located as is isn’t here!

Video Game Music (Part 1)

I am posting this while sat on a bench in my Garden, its 01:40, its late and I’ll be up around 07:00 so I really should go to bed.

Anyway I thought I’d share one of the musical genres that I really like – Video Game Music. Some people will probably think I am slightly mad but the quality and variety in this genre is astonishingly brilliant.

I’ve been a fan since I was a kid back in the old 8-bit days from the Sinclair Spectrum with its single channel and very limited beeper to the 16-bit Amiga and the arcades while moving with the times to todaya full blown syphonic tracks.
